The goal of the Levy Inspiration Grant Program is to give entrepreneurial students the opportunity to study a problem firsthand rather than researching it from afar. We’re looking for students who are tackling big, gnarly issues that focus on a significant need or problem. Ideally, you’ve started to work on this idea already and have some progress, with your grant trip focused on getting you to the next level through field research that you wouldn’t be able to complete otherwise.
This program is intended for students who are currently working on starting a business while at Kellogg and are looking to strengthen and accelerate their journey through field research. Students should focus their grant trip on “learning to do” versus “learning to know.” In other words, we expect to see a clear connection between how your learnings will help you build a business, rather than learning for the sake of learning. You may be coming out of New Venture Discovery or New Venture Development, or you came to Kellogg with an idea you’re already working on, but this program is best suited for students who have taken steps toward building a business.
